Trail Cam Update

Hello everyone, deer season is almost upon us!

I checked a trail cam today and I'm happy to say I've found two or three bucks to add to the hit list... for 2015.  I gotta be honest, I'm just pumped to see some antlers turn up on the camera.  It's been a pretty bleak summer of running trail cams and just to know there's something out there is encouraging.  We set up the camera on a family walk earlier this month.  I placed it at a T-intersection on our trail system that had good cover all around. Here's the results and call signs for each respective deer:

"Standard 8"

"Future 1st season Fatality"

"The Funky Five"

"Pointer"

Bobcat?

I pulled cards on trailcams earlier this week & found some interesting pictures from my Turkey Top plot camera.  The camera takes a photo every 30 seconds for 3 hours around sunrise and then again for 3 hours around sunset.  I can watch the photos on computer software almost like a video.  The photo quality is a little poorer than regular motion-triggered trailcam pics, but it's designed to capture patterns and movement rather than details.

That being said, I have what appears to be a feline crossing my plot on August 14th at 7:48pm.  I'd like to think it is a Bobcat, but I have to put my excitement aside and consider that it just might be an ordinary house cat too.  I've circled the cat's location in each photo.  See the picture sequence below and you be the judge.....
